The Global Contracts Lead is responsible for coordinating the development and updating of policies and procedures. Independently supports investigator proposal submission efforts in response to unsolicited application guidelines, requests for applications, public announcements, and requests for proposals from a variety of sponsors of varying complexity. Independently negotiates standard and more complex terms and conditions associated with federal contracts and other non-industrial sponsored agreements consistent with institutional policy and practice, that are programmatically and fiscally responsive. Prepares or initiates document templates and other resource needs.
Job Overview: The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is seeking a collaborative and experienced Global Contracts Lead. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, Contracts and Agreements, the Global Contracts Lead will be responsible for the management and oversight of contract research administrators that handle contract development, review, renewal, execution, termination, and archiving for GPM and St. Jude Global. They will serve as the team lead for providing leadership assistance and support to the contracts team and GPM staff on a variety of contractual, risk management, and processes by assisting with contract requests, legal research, writing, contract review, document production, and other tasks as assigned. Works collaboratively and collectively with GPM finance, legal, and institutional personnel to ensure alignment. They will also supervise team members on workflows, develop policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as audit contractual agreements to ensure compliance with Institutional policies. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
