The Role

As a Business Development Officer at Curi RMB Capital, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and achieving sales excellence as a key member of our high-performance Wealth Management team. This position offers nearly limitless opportunities within an expansive territory, enabling you to collaborate directly with referral partners, prospective clients, and senior wealth advisors across the Northeast or Southeast region.

Your main focus will be conducting branch and prospective client meetings to support revenue and profitability growth. You will accomplish this by generating client leads through Curi RMB Capital's involvement in referral partner programs.

Ideal candidates will have backgrounds in wealth management, advisory services, brokerage, wholesaling, or Fintech sales. The successful Business Development Officer will demonstrate high energy, coachability, and a strong emphasis on business development. They will also exhibit thoughtful listening skills, a collaborative team mentality, and a deep commitment to both personal and professional growth.

Key Result Areas

  • Support market growth and achievement of revenue and profitability milestones.
  • Communicate the firm's resources, value proposition, solutions, and services to representatives from our participating referral programs.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and closed sales in custodial referral programs.
  • Log all contacts daily in the SalesForce system, including inbound and outbound calls, voicemails, emails, conference calls, seminars, etc.
  • Conduct regular presentations of Curi RMB Capital's services to referral partner associates in their offices and at various regional events.
  • Profile and understand prospective client needs and match those requirements to the firm's offerings.
  • Engage and articulate prospective client needs to the firm's wealth advisory teams.
  • Represent and communicate various investment strategies and solutions to prospective clients and referral partner representatives.
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of solutions, products, and services.
  • Collaborate with appropriate business leaders to conduct joint sales calls, prepare proposals, and deliver presentations.
  • Keep abreast of current trends and identify new business development opportunities.
  • Leverage community relations and development centers of influence to generate leads and facilitate introductions.

Key Skills

  • Proven success in selling to new and existing clients with special consideration for those with experience in the Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions (WAS) program, or similar.
  • Experience working with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and facilitation of the sales cycle/process
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasive skills.
  • Effective written communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Excellent presentation communication skills for addressing individuals and groups in formal and informal settings.
  • Demonstrated/documented healthy sales pipeline via Salesforce.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, prospective clients, and internal and community contacts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% - 50%.

Key Qualifications

  • More than five years of experience in financial industry sales. Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Key licenses

  • Series 65/66 or CFP certification.
