The base salary range for an HRIS Analyst I is $55,400 - $99,700. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

HRIS Analyst II Overview

This position is responsible for optimizing the performance of the HRIS system, data, and processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of organizational data within the HRIS, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties:



  • Partners with HR and management to support the HRIS system UKG Pro, data, and processes
  • Manages, updates, and maintains HR data, including employee information, job information, and compensation data through the entire employee lifecycle
  • Administers changes in the HRIS system and updates and validates employee records including hires, terms, transfers, promotions, etc. in a timely manner
  • Serves as the point of contact for troubleshooting day-to-day UKG Pro system questions, issues, password resets, etc. Works with UKG to resolve issues; escalates to Senior/Lead HR Systems Administrator as needed
  • Generates reports/queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
  • Manages, assigns, and completes IT service desk tickets on an ongoing basis supporting the necessary processes for documenting changes to employee records
  • Collaborates with recruiters and assists with onboarding documentation for new hires through UKG Pro
  • Develops, updates, and modifies HRIS system codes, tables, reports, and other approved system changes
  • Processes awards, bonuses, retro-payments, PTO payouts, severance payments, and other misc. payouts. Collaborates with Payroll department frequently to ensure accuracy in payroll processing each pay period
  • Creates and maintains document acknowledgements in UKG Pro; monitors for annual compliance
  • Manages and maintains documents in Document Manager for all employee files
  • Assists with ongoing UKG Pro System maintenance/optimization including business rules, imports, annual updates, and system launches
  • Participates in pulling accurate reporting to meet regulatory requirements for internal and external audits and provides support to Senior HRIS Analyst
  • Creates, tests, and maintains Business Process Documentation for all current and future HRIS processes to support ongoing enhancements
  • Manages HR Mailbox daily and monitors and responds to inquiries and questions; forwards for response as needed
  • Maximizes use of systems functionality and improving or automating processes where possible and identifies opportunities to improve the user experience
  • Coordinates and leads other special projects as requested and responsible for other duties as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Extremely detail oriented, with high level of integrity and ethical standards in all HRIS activities, ensuring accuracy, precision, and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality
  • Analytical skills to collect and verify information, understand the trends/best practices, consider the options and risks, and make recommendations
  • Excellent planning, time management, organization, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, re-prioritize based on business demands coupled with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, written, and verbal skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets


Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Business, analytics, reporting, systems, or other relevant experience; experience to include analysis, process improvement, or reporting
  • 1 year of UKG/UltiPro system administration experience
  • Or equivalent military experience


Preferred Education and Experience:



  • Strong functional HR knowledge base with firm understanding of HR processes and data, especially related to HRIS systems
