Technology risk at SEI involves addressing risks related to our infrastructure, systems, and processes. The Technology Risk Program focuses on identifying, prioritizing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on these risks. It encompasses key areas such as cyber and information security, emerging technologies, technology infrastructure, system delivery and integration, and technology operations.

The Technology Risk Committee (TRC) oversees the program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and escalating significant risks to executive leadership as needed. Additionally, the program supports client assurance through adherence to standards such as SOC and ISO.

As a Technology Risk Analyst, you will support the Technology Risk team by leveraging technical skills to streamline workflows, aggregate and analyze data, and enable the automation of risk management processes. The position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, process efficiency, and robust technical solutions that align with SEI's Technology Risk Program objectives. This is an excellent opportunity to apply technical expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of a critical function within the organization. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, solve complex challenges, and play a key role in advancing our technology risk management efforts.

What you will do:

  • Data Aggregation and Analysis:
    • Collect, consolidate, and analyze technology risk metrics from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
    • Design and maintain dashboards to visualize key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
    • Identify trends and insights from data to inform risk mitigation strategies.
  • Workflow Automation:
    • Develop and implement automated workflows for risk management processes using tools such Microsoft Power Automate.
    • Streamline manual processes and eliminate inefficiencies by designing automated solutions that ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Technical Support for Risk Tools:
    • Administer and enhance risk management platforms, ensuring tools are configured to meet program needs.
    • Collaborate with the Technology Risk team to identify opportunities to optimize existing systems and workflows.
    • Ensure data integrity and proper integration between risk management tools and other systems.
  • Reporting and Metrics Support:
    • Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports for Technology Risk, Technology Risk Committee (TRC), and executive leadership.
    • Standardize reporting formats and ensure alignment with organizational policies and frameworks.
    • Support the creation of risk assessments and analysis for key business areas, aligning metrics with the SEI's risk taxonomy.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with risk managers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements for solutions.
    • Document processes, workflows, and technical configurations to support scalability and knowledge sharing.
    • Provide input to audits and reviews, ensuring technical solutions meet compliance and control requirements.

What we need from you:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
    • Experience with workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
    • Strong understanding of database structures and the ability to query and manipulate data effectively.
  • Risk Knowledge:
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience across technology, risk, business management, data analysis, systems analysis, or other control functions
    • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, FFIEC, CIS)
    • Understanding of risk metrics, KRIs, and risk taxonomies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to design and implement technical solutions to address process inefficiencies.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Adept at working with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk, privacy, information security, and compliance functions.
    • Ability to clearly document and communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
