Department Overview

The Systems, Planning & Intelligence (SP&I) resides in the Land, Environmental & Permitting (LEAPS) organization. LEAPS is responsible for securing the rights and permits essential for building California's energy system, while protecting and restoring the planet. SP&I serves as the planning, program management, data, process and technology backbone of the LEAPS organization. It works in conjunction with LEAPS and its Operations partners to ensure delivery of construction ready work. Process wise, SP&I develops system automations, data analytics, and geospatial technology to enhance the LEAPS teams' capabilities as facilitating partners in work readiness, compliance and execution. More broadly, it is responsible for providing technical solutions across LEAPS that enable efficiency by utilizing sustainable, scalable, and reliable technology to extract meaningful insights from data, empowering strategic and well-informed decision-making

Position Summary

The Program Manager, Principal of Work Planning & Alignment will lead efforts to partners with Operations on behalf of EP&S to ensure work plans are optimized for successful delivery.

Responsibilities of the Work Planning & Alignment team include:

Forecasting: modeling estimated construction ready ("shovel-ready") dates on behalf of the EP&S organization.

Plan Alignment: Coordinating with the work planning functions of Electric Operations on behalf of LEAPS to ensure work is planned at optimal.

Analysis: Assessing cycle times and feasibility of EP&S timelines to for opportunities to streamline process and adjust work plans.

Reporting: Facilitate regular weekly and monthly plan alignment calls with EP&S and Operations.

Plan Quality Assurance: Act as the gatekeeper to ensure jobs moved in and out of work plans are executable by EP&S

Issue Resolution: Work directly with the Central Design, Supply Chain and LEAPS teams to validate job status data and ensure accuracy of information being used for planning assumptions.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill beplaced between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $140,000

Bay Area Maximum $238,000

California Minimum:$133,000

California Maximum:$226,000

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations to identify and resolve misalignments in execution plans
  • Partner with LEAPS to track and drive improvements in deliverable processing cycle times
  • Perform analysis on complex data models used to inform what is included in Operations work plans and when that work is planned.
  • Execute complex process and data integrations with impact and application across multiple departments and processes.
  • Solve unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions. Presents findings and recommendations to senior leaders to gain agreement.
  • Work with senior management across EP&S and Operations to support strategic planning and decision making.
  • Lead major cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Leverage technology to provide data that informs quick and effective decision making

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
