Overview:

We are seeking an environmental operations analyst who will focus on environmental compliance operations analysis and performance assurance activities.This position resides in the Environmental Protection Services Division (EPSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and supports both the Environmental Managementand Transportation Management Systems at ORNL.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Environmental and Transportation Management System Business planning and updates

  • Requirements Management

  • Issues Management including assessments and corrective actions

  • Document Control (procedures, websites, training, etc.)

  • Organizational Milestones

  • Operations summaries and annual reporting

  • Performance metrics

  • Environmental Management System/ISO 14001 Program Management

  • Records management

  • Peer reviews/assessments

  • Lead Auditor

  • A-123 Entity Testing

  • Environment Liability Reporting

  • Maintaining the division's SharePoint Sites

Basic Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in a technical field

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing environmental operations processes

  • Experience with national laboratory operations processes and systems

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.

This position is located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and requires onsite presence. We offer a flexible work environment that supports both the organization and the employee.
