JOB TITLE:

Law Registrar/Director of Student Record

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide leadership in the master curriculum offerings for the College of Law; developing the academic schedule; overseeing the compilation, recording, verifications ad dissemination of all student enrollment and bar passage rates; supervise the exam preparation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and maintains the academic class schedule
  • Update course offerings in accordance with University policies and procedures
  • Establishes and administers processes and procedures for student records management, archiving and destruction in accordance with established regulations, policies and standards for the maintenance, handling, and disposition of student and institutional records
  • Oversees compilation, recording, verification, and disseminations of all data related to student enrollment, curriculum, academic progress, grades and bar pass rates for the Law School
  • Provides and/or oversees provision of advice to students regarding graduation requirements, to include residency requirements, bar course-load selection, certificate requirements, and time management requirements for graduation
  • Oversees all aspects of the examination process for the Law School
  • Creates examination schedules, directs and supervises exam preparation and distribution to faculty, special exam arrangements, and proctoring
  • Oversees examination retention and destruction, in accordance with established policies, regulations, and guidelines
  • Monitors student academic standing, probation, and suspension
  • Assisting in Commencement and graduation-related events
  • Help develop and maintain the College of Law website
  • Set up parameters for computer assisted exam software "Examsoft" before each exam period
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 2 years of experience in related field

Other:
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality, ability to evaluation student transcripts and knowledge of record maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiar with University policies and procedures and with Banner (student information system)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to maintain accurate databases

On-campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work on campus.
