Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Job Summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our food and beverage operations at the prestigious Kennedy Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences. Our primary objective will be to maximize sales and revenue by consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations, fostering employee engagement, and maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all food and beverage operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Collaborate with chefs to design exceptional menus and continuously make necessary improvements.
  • Forecast, plan, source, and order food supplies for the kitchen, as well as beverages to stock the bar and fridges.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise food and beverage staff, including chefs, waitstaff, and bartenders.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
  • Keep financial records, establish budgetary controls, and manage stock levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, striving to provide excellent customer service.
  • Organize marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
  • Assist in catering management for events, including weddings, conferences, and other special occasions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial records.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
