Description

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Security Operations Manager. In this role you'll be responsible for security management, to include Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) duties, and supervision of the Security Department as well as all aspects of collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) manuals, and other federal security directives.

*This is an onsite position located at our headquarters in Rome, NY.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for all aspects of physical, personnel, and information security.
  • Supervise department security professionals, performing activities such as hiring, training, evaluating and managing performance and career development, assigning work, coordinating schedules of all security personnel to insure secure facility.
  • Advises Program Managers and staff in the interpretation of security guidelines and the development of plans and procedures to meet customer security requirements.
  • Interface with government security officers, AIS program managers and supporting staff on security matters.
  • Develop and implement an effective Security and Education Training Awareness (SETA) program to include initial, refresher and continuing education programs, Operations Security (OPSEC), Insider Threat programs, Foreign travel programs, Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Conduct an annual self-inspection, document the self-inspection, and submit to the appropriate CSA to include the hosting of periodic security reviews.
  • Oversee the adherence of classified storage, annual classified inventory, classified media control, reproduction/destruction, and the visitor control program.
  • Monitor the reproduction and/or duplication and destruction capabilities.
  • Responsible for reporting of adverse information to the appropriate CSA.
  • Maintain and update fixed facility checklist (FFC) and other facility documentation as required.

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and 10 years experience in management of security functions in a government contracting environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).
  • Experience in Industrial Security Facilities Database (ISFD), Electronic Facility Clearance System (e-FCL).
  • Experience in Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS)., Automated Access Control (AAC), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Close Circuit Television (CCTV).
  • Experience in Specialized Training Required-Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) for FSO.
  • Experience in Management and Special Access Program (SAP) mid-level management course with CDSE.
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 1 year of assignment to the role.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Travel Required: Less than 10%

US Salary Range: $116,486 - $141,601

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
