Summary of Job Duties:The Division of Student Affairs is seeking a Director of Data Analysis & Reporting to lead divisional program evaluation, assessment, data acquisition, and strategic decision-making efforts. This role will oversee data collection efforts across various methods, survey design implementation and training, advanced statistical analyses, and dissemination of insights across various audiences. These efforts will contribute to data-driven decisions as they relate to understanding the utilization and satisfaction of services and identifying efficiencies and continuous improved processes. Finally, these efforts will also contribute to telling the story of the division as it relates to various student engagement and success metrics and sustaining a strong data-driven culture through training opportunities, workshops and data governance. This position will supervise 1-2 full-time data analysts and report to the Sr. Director of Data Analysis & Reporting. This position will serve as a leader on the Data Shared Services Team for the Division of Student Affairs.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in statistics, survey methodology, data science, education research, or a related field

  • At least three to five years of experience in survey design, data analytics and research among a student population, or related roles in higher education

  • Demonstrated experience in survey methodology, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis

  • Proficiency in survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, RedCap, Google Forms)

  • Strong experience in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS) and data governance

  • Experience working among a team of researchers

  • Experience with report writing

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least five to seven years of experience in survey design, data analytics, research among a student population, or related roles in higher education

  • Experience with large database sets across multiple sources of data

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, R)

  • Experience working among a team of researchers in a leadership role

  • Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals or presenting at national conferences

  • Experience in developing documentation of processes (e.g., protocols, standard operation procedures manuals)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Extensive knowledge of the full data assessment & research cycle (i.e., IRB submissions, data methodological design, data acquisition, complex data analyses, technical reporting, interpretation & dissemination)

  • Working knowledge of relational databases

  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills

  • Excellent statistical analytic skills

  • Ability to identify trends across key factors and translate data findings into actionable insights

  • Ability to train and lead a team of researchers

  • Ability to manage data through Excel, SAS Enterprise Guide, Power BI, R, and/or other programs

  • Ability to work independently, initiate projects, clearly communicate the results of statistical analysis, and seek outside data is essential
