Accounting Lead

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries that are required during the month.
• Inspect account books for accuracy by doing monthly and yearly reconciliations on all accounts.
• Organize and update all financial records in order to complete financial review.
• Prepare preliminary financial statements and review for accuracy and legal compliance.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs in the organization and enhance revenue through margin improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to Corporate guidelines on Accounts Receivable collection and credit initiatives weekly.
• Maintain accurate inventory values and levels by performing cycle counts and reporting of aged items.
• Perform essential billing activities for large customers who require us to use special invoicing portals.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred with a minimum of three years of practical general ledger work experience.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to query data from our system database through use of Microsoft Access is preferred.
