Job Summary

Working as the HR Manager, you will provide in-unit Human Resources support to all Compass service lines (EVS, Patient Transport, Food and Nutrition, and Facilities Management at account , with emphasis on compliance, training, recruitment and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all managers complete mandatory training, including annual Code of Ethics and coordinates and conducts management training related to this area (i.e.: terminations, sexual harassment, performance management).
  • Conducts HR Audits ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory guidelines, including employee files.
  • Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
  • Supports and guides management on performance management and performance development plans.
  • Makes recommendations to increase retention and reduce turnover.
  • Assists managers in developing and implementing recruitment plans to increase qualified applicant flow. Participates with applicant interviewing for all managerial positions and others as needed.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations as is needed.
  • Supports internal customer survey and associate satisfaction interpretation/feedback process.
  • Attends Operational meetings to increase HR visibility, conducts classroom training, provides assistance, and implements account HR initiatives as needed.
  • Coordinates and conducts management training related to the areas of interviewing, selection and hiring.
  • Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation and training as needed.
  • Prepares and presents HR related topics at Field Operations Workshops for HR Training and Development.
  • Liaise with Sinai Labor Relations, participating in New Manager Training, ensuring all new managers are trained within first 30-60 days.
  • Assist Sinai LR with investigations involving Crothall managers and attend second step grievance's as needed.
  • Liaise with Sinai Recruitment, provide training to managers on behavioral based interviewing, assists with the selection of a pre-hire behavior assessment and final interviews for key positons (UD's and above)
  • Manages the Employee of the Month recognition program and Sinai Newsletter.

.Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred
  • Two to five years multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience.
  • Experience in a high customer contact setting.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • SPHR/PHR Certification preferred
