Reinspector - Kyle 1 - 3rd shift Position summary: This position is responsible for both on-line and off-line re-inspection rework activities and maintaining accurate records and reports of rework activities and downgrades of product.
Educational requirements: High school or GED
Skills and experience: One year of manufacturing experience and an understanding of RCA Tufting and Kyle Cutting processes preferred Good communication skills, verbal and written Must have normal color vision and average or above average shade discernment Basic Mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication division) Must be able to read a tape measure Multi tasking skills Self starter Key and receive data from the mainframe system Experience and knowledge of AS/400 and E1preferred
Essential duties: Reinspect and rework all suspect carpet on cutting lines and off line Repair all tiles as required by the Team Leader/Quality Manager/Supervisor Maintain accurate department records and reports relating to defects, downgrades, and determine the department charged for the defect Utilize resources to verify/identify carpet style/color through the use of AS400, box sets, Internet, MO patterns, etc. Accurately identify the reason for the defect and charge to the correct department On a shift basis key off quality into the AS/400 Key information and print pallet tickets for pallets of seconds and thirds they have downgraded Keep pallets processed in a timely manner to avoid build-up of pallets on the Line Determine what is and is not acceptable quality, correct pattern and communicate to line inspectors what is and is not acceptable quality Assist in controlling suspect defective carpet through contact with Supervisor and Team Leader Maintain understanding of all defects and all on-line and off-lineRe-inspection processes Maximize recycling of all recyclable material and minimize waste where possible Maintain housekeeping Comply with safety rules Comply with environmental regulations Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Ensure ISO procedures are followed. Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability. Perform other duties as assigned
