Overview
We're looking for a Senior Architectural Designer to join our interdisciplinary team at the Lockheed Facilities location in Orlando, FL. US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required. Assists project team in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural technology by performing the following duties listed below. Responsibilities
* Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. * Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects. * Attends client meetings. * Assists in the analysis of data to plan and design projects. * Prepares design computations and applies architectural fundamentals. * Performs design of non-routine projects under direction of Project Architect. * Understands and utilizes architectural technical terminology. * Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and permits for projects, under the direction of Project Architect. * Performs site/field investigations to collect data for architectural assignments. * Supervises junior staff and develops daily tasks. * Provides advice, guidance and mentoring for junior staff. * Provides technical support to other staff in area of expertise. * Proficient in AutoCad and Revit. * Ability to produce drawings in three dimension. * Produces designs and drawings utilizing vendor's and manufacturer's catalog and technical data. * Performs CADD drafting to produce designs for final drawings. * Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined by operational standards. * Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretation. * Perform checking of one's own work and work prepared by others utilizing Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar 3D format. * Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications. * Promote communications, cooperation and quality among staff.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * High school/GED diploma and 8 years experience * Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 7 year's related experience * Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience * Advanced in Autocad, Revit, BlueBeam,Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Excel. * Possess an aptitude and exhibit skills for graphics, CAD and Architectural support. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * The work is semi-sedentary work and requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. * Manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, typing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. * Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, which may involve walking, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces. * Ability to operate a motor vehicle. * Ability to stand and sit for periods longer than 30 minutes but not to exceed two hours consecutively. * Ability to control behavior when encountering stressful situations or short deadlines and to maintain a high level of concentration. * Ability to print and draw letters, numbers, words, characters, and symbols that are legible and understood by others. * Ability to learn complex tasks and remember how to complete tasks without assistance once trained.
