Sr. Product Leader, Merchant Strategy

We are looking for an experienced leader to serve as our Sr. Product Leader, Merchant Strategy to help shape the Merchant strategy as we continue to transform the Merchant business into a scaled, matured, best in class business. This person will help to drive the agenda for the Merchant Services business with particular focus on P&L results, risk management, and operations.

This role requires a deep understanding of the Merchant Services industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving product innovation and growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Strategic Payments Leader:
    • Develop and execute strategic initiatives for the Merchant Services business
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to align product strategies with business strategies
    • Identify market opportunities and diligence trends in infrastructure and capabilities to define a product roadmap in support of growth and profitability
  • Product Development & Management:
    • Support the ongoing management of Key's Merchant Services business; partner with business development teams to acquire clients and drive revenue growth
    • Identify trends, changes, or shifts in client and competitor behaviors, and regulatory and competitive forces that impact solutions
    • Work across multiple functions providing support, leadership, and subject matter expertise to sales, marketing, finance, technology, legal, operations, and compliance
  • Leadership & Management:
    • Sustain a collaborative and inclusive culture that fosters innovation and continuous improvement
    • Guide team members to ensure the successfully delivery of product initiatives; willingness to operate as a "player-coach" as needed
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and performance to leaders and core stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and industry experts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of strategy, product, or related financial services, consulting, or technology experience in a treasury management setting
  • Deep knowledge of merchant services
  • Experience with product roadmap development including deploying, developing, and testing new product capabilities
  • High technical acumen including understanding of payment processing, software development, and the use of APIs, and other data transmission methods
  • Able to work in a matrixed organization with colleagues across various reporting structures
  • Able to build and sustain relationships within all levels of a prospects and/or client's organization from technical team leads to the executive level
  • Superior influencing, consulting, and communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to successfully interact with and relate complex technical information to less technical audiences in common business terms
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities.
  • Ability to provide executive level updates on project progress and appropriately address concerns / risks
  • Ability to problem solve and overcome challenges

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with Merchant Services management or similar roles tied to payment processing
  • Knowledge of network payment routing, and the ability to optimize routing to improve the client experience and economics
  • Experience with flow of funds and payments risk

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary rate of $200,000-$225,000 annually. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.

Key has implemented a role-based Mobile by Design approach to our employee workspaces, dedicating space to those whose roles require specific workspaces, while providing flexible options for roles which are less dependent on assigned workspaces and can be performed effectively in a mobile environment.
