Position Summary

We are seeking a Digital Asset Management Specialist to support Accion's onboarding to a new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system by migrating content and managing data and organization of the content. This is a temporary, part time position based in Washington, DC. The role will be hybrid as some work involving physical hard drives will require in-office work. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Digital Content.

Project Schedule

This is a temporary position for a short-term project lasting approximately 3 months. It requires working 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

    Implement migration plan, including importing select hard drives and moving multimedia, photography, and related assets from other online databases as instructed
  • Manage data entry for content added to the DAM system, including adding descriptions for photography and video asset and other key data to content as instructed
  • Consistently follow metadata and naming protocol outlined by Accion, following specific directions where available and interpreting where to apply additional tags based on the guidance provided
  • Manage any photo or video file conversions needed for content to work correctly on the platform
  • Audit any AI-generated tags or descriptions for accuracy
  • Ensure proper connections are reflected in how content is organized, including connecting consent forms to the appropriate client
  • Map content to showcase pages within the DAM as instructed
  • Support the creation of documentation on the structure and usage of the DAM system, including documenting cataloging convention and user guides
  • Gather feedback during soft launch and help apply that feedback, making any needed modifications
  • Meet regularly with team members to coordinate on progress and enable QA
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Deep experience using and launching DAM systems required. Experience with Acquia or Widen preferred
  • Familiarity with standard multimedia and photography file types with the ability to convert files as needed
  • Background in photography or video production or editing is a plus
  • Skilled at data entry with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of DAM best practices
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal English language skills and the ability to craft compelling, people-focused content.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $45.00-$65.00
  • The above hourly rate serves as a general guideline. Accion considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, training, skills, location, current market conditions as well as internal pay alignment.
