GENERAL PURPOSE

Herman Miller is looking for a highly collaborative, hands-on individual to help us grow the Herman Miller retail business. The Herman Miller Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and measuring our omni-channel campaigns and collaborating across channels to support creative and compelling seasonal marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Campaigns: Plan and manage creative, strategic, seasonal and brand appropriate omni-channel marketing campaigns with clear audiences and goals.

  • Channel Management: Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as digital, social media, merchandising, PR and creative to develop, implement, and execute campaigns across channels.

  • Product Knowledge: Work closely with partners in merchandising to identify product focuses and inventory levels for promotions and campaigns. Maintain a robust level of product knowledge for our core assortment and seasonal new launches.

  • Reporting: Run and evaluate sales, event, and digital marketing reports as it relates to campaigns and promotions to constantly improve performance. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop plans to implement.

  • Briefs: Write and kick off thorough briefs for all marketing initiatives and collaborate with channel owners on channel-specific briefs. Input briefs and all other marketing initiatives related to Herman Miller into project management software Wrike.

  • Calendar: Maintain and update promotions and marketing calendars for all teams to reference. Work closely with project managers to initiate follow up and track timelines and key deliverables to ensure projects are progressing and completed on schedule. Identify opportunities to improve how calendars and developed and shared and implemented.

  • Events: Assist in planning, execution, and measurement of local marketing initiatives such as events and in-store activations to drive qualified traffic to our retail stores.

  • Communication: Assist in internal communications of Marketing efforts to all teams and provide transparency throughout the organization, including communication to the retail stores.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Must be based in CT or NYC

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in multiple channels at a retail, entrepreneurial, or digitally native business.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of office software and comfort with learning new applications.

  • A drive to constantly improve processes and find new, better ways to work efficiently.

  • Willingness and excitement to be flexible and helpful across multiple parts of the business.

  • Motivated self-starter with high energy level, a passion for design and a willingness to do what it takes to create great work.

  • Works well in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines, in a demanding, fast-paced team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral and ability to work with all levels of staff and management and present accordingly.

  • Strong strategic thinking with the capability to solve problems and be solution oriented.

A starting compensation range for this role is $91,318.75 - $125,000.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
