We are seeking an experienced, digitally savvy, and data-driven leader for an Associate Director, Marketing Strategy Management to support robust and integrated strategies across the business portfolio. This unique Associate Director, Marketing Strategy position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key voice in shaping the future of the joint venture between UHC and Warburg Pincus, an exciting new partnership that will become an independent company.

The Associate Director of Marketing Strategy is responsible for leading the evolution of the marketing strategy and strategic initiatives for UnitedHealthcare Hearing. You are the leader of identifying and analyzing audience behaviors and the necessary business requirements to support business strategies targeting program growth and expansion across the hearing conversion funnel. You will work cross-functionally to inform and educate internal stakeholders as well as inform the strategies targeting members and consumers to drive program success. Collaborating cross-functionally within the hearing business to ensure that there is a consistent intelligence framework across business systems to support identification of audience segments and their engagement throughout the conversion funnel leading to optimization of activities focused on engagement, activation and conversion.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Operate as the Marketing functional owner across the business to connect the marketing strategies, tactics and strategic initiative needs with the other hearing business functional owners to drive awareness and action across business and within the hearing team
  • Own and manage the budgets, deliverables, relationship, and workflows with digital marketing agency partners to develop and execute on the broad marketing strategies and tactics in support of driving hearing business goals and objectives, partnering with the marketing peers to align strategies and needs
  • Develop an understanding of the hearing business go-to-market strategies, insights, personas, customer segments, and competitive intelligence to support marketing strategy roadmap
  • Establish the creation and development of front-end digital testing roadmap and pipeline to ensure hearing websites are optimized to audience segment engagements and business objective needs
  • Lead regular cross-functional connections to drive awareness for marketing strategy roadmap and tactic timelines to support greater connection and impact across the hearing business
  • Define and manage the development of marketing strategy and campaign dashboards to support a comprehensive and cohesive view of marketing strategy and tactic impact leading to data-driven recommendations and optimization across channel and conversion funnel stage and identification of ROI impacts
  • Partner to develop and define a marketing intelligence framework to identify key insights on hearing audience segments based on engagement with hearing business systems to support the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaign tactics aligned to the hearing conversion funnel
  • Partner cross-functionally to map marketing intelligence needs as part of the broad business systems architecture to positively improve the hearing conversion funnel, ensuring that all audience touchpoints are captured and mapped accordingly
  • Define, improve and update systems and processes that enable the team to collaborate efficiently and track the effectiveness of marketing plans and other large and small-scale projects
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that marketing intelligence informs development of current and future business strategies ensuring that the consumer is at the center of all that we do
  • Identify and drive understanding of marketing's return on investment and overall business impact among hearing leadership and other applicable stakeholders

Required Qualifications:



  • 6+ years of experience in marketing strategy with a focus on digital marketing, growth marketing with a deep understanding of marketing frameworks and channel activation
  • Project and campaign management experience
  • Experience leading data driven recommendations through market intelligence
  • Solid leadership, collaboration, teamwork, relationship-building skills across multiple levels and functions
  • Comfortable presenting and reporting on projects and strategies across levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
