A Strategic Account Executive, Sales and Strategy job in Cincinnati, OH is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). This position will contribute to the development of Category Management infrastructure for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates with the objective of becoming the industry leader in providing category management driven solutions to meet the needs of our retail partners. With a strong foundation in analytics and insights, this individual will translate data into meaningful and actionable insights that drive brand and category growth for SMWE and Kroger.

Strategic Account Executive, Sales and Strategy job responsibilities include:



  • Contribute to the development of the near and long-term Category Business Plans for SMWE.
  • Participate in a collaborative cross-functional work environment to develop key category strategies and thought leadership initiatives for the premium wine category, with primary focus on the Kroger business.
  • Deliver clear, compelling, and professional presentations tailored to buyer needs.
  • Confidently present to diverse audiences including senior-level buyers, adapting tone and approach as needed.
  • Develop innovative Category Management retailer solutions in alignment with customer's priorities based on retail and consumer insights to drive category and SMWE goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with distributor and key retail trade partners to test and implement category management principles at retail.
  • Utilize financial and industry analysis in conjunction with consumer and shopper-based insights to develop fact-based selling stories and visually engaging customer-specific presentations for the SMWE Sales Team.
  • Leverage Kroger customer data to create actionable and relevant insights that can be applied to SMWE and Kroger's strategic and tactical plans.
  • Provide ongoing reporting to both retailer and sales teams, including post-promotional analysis, category analyses, weekly performance reporting, new item tracking, etc.


Position Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred with major in Business or Analytics-related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years in Category Management / Shopper Insights in the Adult Beverage (Beer, Wine, or Spirits) or CPG Food & Beverage industry required.
  • Kroger account experience required with in-depth knowledge of retailer's systems (Retail Execution, Advanced Insights, etc.)
  • 5-10% domestic travel requirements
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Technical skill set includes: knowledge of space planning applications (JDA/Apollo), relational database design and integration, ability and experience with various point-of-sale analytic/information based software applications (Nielsen/IRI/Retailer POS data), exceptionally skilled in Excel, proficient in all Kroger systems including Advanced Insights, Unify IRI, IRI Retail Execution (84.51/Market6/IRI/Circana)
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.



Your Compensation: $106,887-$138,963/yr. based upon relevant experience.
