This is a senior level position within Fishbeck Transportation Division, which will interact with the MI, OH, and IN transportation departments, other Fishbeck departments, and senior leadership. This position will act as a technical advisor providing leadership and growth of the bridge design practice and offers a unique opportunity to shape Fishbeck 10-year Vision and growth strategy and build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. Typical duties may include but not limited to:

Technical


  • Lead projects as Program Manager, Project Manager, QC Manager or Technical Advisor, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction, as needed.
  • Regional bridge subject matter expert assisting on all technical issues and project pursuits.
  • Mentor and guide staff, providing technical credibility to clients and stakeholders
  • Resource for bridge QA/QC review while providing input on enhancement of Fishbeck's QA/QC policy.
  • Lead revenue growth initiatives by providing design services to Contractors for complex demolition plan, complex steel erection plan, and other complex designs.
  • Offer guidance and assist in Fishbeck's geographic growth by seeking opportunities and gaining technical prequalifications in other States.
  • Project closeout reviews as needed.


Business Development and Operational Support


  • Lead strategic pursuits with DOTs, Local Agencies, and Contractor led Design-Build projects.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with MDOT bridge squad leaders, support leaders (MDOT Geotechnical, Hydraulics, Environmental etc.), and Regions, as well as targeted Local Agencies, and Contractors to create competitive advantage for Fishbeck in the market.
  • Maintain relationships with other consultants, contractors, and teaming partners. Provide input in teaming arrangements for pursuits.
  • Work with our marketing operations team, Fishbeck Staff, and other consultants and contractors to support proposal development.
  • Assist with the development of Business Development plan and strategy for transportation in MI, OH, IN and geographical expansion in other States to drive growth across the region.
  • Evaluate and prepare the market potential for new clients and service lines that Fishbeck does not currently possess such as railroad, aviation, asset management, program management etc. and support development of business plan to pursue these new initiatives.
  • Provide strategic input in GO/NO GO decisions on key pursuits.
  • Attend and represent Fishbeck in professional organizations' meetings and industry events to develop and maintain client and partner relationships.
  • Assist with recruitment of new staff for Fishbeck's transportation services.
