POSITION SUMMARY: This position is the Marketing liaison for SICK's Industry Sales, Focus Business Initiatives, and Trade Shows with a focus on the following Industries:
- Automotive
- Consumer Goods
- Electronics
- Logistics

They are required to provide domain expertise and strategic/tactical marketing execution to the defined Industry, Focus Business Initiatives, and Trade Shows. They are responsible and accountable to achieve the key Marketing Strategic Objectives, leverage the SICK Brand and collaborate to innovate with other functional groups. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and execute annual marketing strategy for defined Industries and Focus Business Initiatives, the "How", with the result of aligning with Mid-term Plan Strategic Objectives and achieving defined goals, including revenue targets, profitability, market share, lead generation, brand awareness, and CRM management.
- Develop, communicate, and execute business development activities within the Industries and Focus Business Initiatives to align with annual marketing strategy including, but not limited to, content creation, event marketing, lead generation, brand awareness, media partnerships, and more. Leverage economic and market data to adjust marketing plans, as needed.
- Collaborate with Industry Sales and Focus Business Initiative leaders to strategically position the "Who" to target in each Industry segment based on marketing data analytics, customer needs and challenges, and personas. This includes providing market insight and intelligence based on observations of overall market trends, competitive marketing actions, and identified threats.
- Develop an understanding of the Industry and Focus Business Initiative "What", focused on differentiated offerings and value propositions, based on quantified industry trends, customer Key Performance Indicators, and unmet customer needs. Collaboration with Market Product Management to further develop an understanding of the "What" that is offered in the Industries and Focus Business Initiatives.
- Provide domain expertise of the relevant Industry and Focus Business Initiative Marketing activities. Maintain, develop, and communicate a deep knowledge of the related Industries, trends, customer needs, and competitive activity throughout the organization.
- Provide Strategic Trade Show project management to develop messaging, coordinating appropriate organizational stakeholders, and execute Industry-focused Trade Shows. Collaborate with Trade Show and Events Management to provide logistics and tactical excellence at each show.
- Define Trade Show success metrics in collaboration with Sales and Product Management leaders and implement appropriate measurement tools to monitor success. Develop common evaluation, metrics, and reporting across Industry Trade Shows
- Collaborate with SSC NA Marketing Content-, Automation-, and Trade Show Teams to execute planned strategy and activities to achieve Strategic Objectives. Work to localize campaign materials for the US and Canadian markets as necessary.
- Develop relationships and engage with customers, related industry focused associations, educational institutions, professional organizations, publications, and trade shows.
- Develop close relationships with SICK AG Global Industry Centers, Global Industry Marketing, Global Business Clusters and other Sales and Service Cluster Marketing teams to provide input into the global campaign plan. Understand and leverage new methods and techniques focused on building brand awareness and demand generation.
- Lead and coordinate EOC (Environment of Customer) research projects intended at validating new hypothesis or offerings from inception to final report out specific to the respective segment(s). As applicable, contribute to EOC projects lead by other groups of SICK's One Unified team including, but not limited to, Market Product Management, Strategic Product Management or other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Engineering or similar, Marketing or Business.
- Seven or more years of experience in an Industry/Segment Marketing, Product Marketing or Sales role.
Other Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
- Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with peers, customers, and vendors.
- Understanding of marketing communications.
- Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
- Able and willing to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Able to work in a general office environment.
