Description

Markon's partner company is seeking an experienced ISSO to support an intelligence customer.



Responsibilities

    Serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for assigned special systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, and POA&Ms.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure security controls are implemented effectively.
  • Assist in achieving and sustaining ATOs for systems by working closely with northern-based cybersecurity and compliance teams.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring activities, vulnerability management, and incident response support.
  • Stay current on applicable security policies, procedures, and tools, including NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD/IC security frameworks


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, with emphasis on ISSO responsibilities.
  • Hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity operations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with ATO processes and supporting special systems in classified or sensitive environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CAP, or Security+.
  • Experience with federal or intelligence community environments.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST guidelines, and continuous monitoring practices.


Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
