M&H Valve of Anniston, AL is actively looking for a Foundry Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical.Supervisor is responsible for the safety, environment, production, and quality of assigned departments(s). Position supervise and coordinate all departmental activities while leading accordingly to the McWane Way.

Job Description

Maintain, repair, install, upgrade and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, components, tools, and industrial machinery, equipment, and controls. Will conduct repairs, preventive/predictive maintenance, testing, and process improvements on all mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment and systems. Technicians must rely on their knowledge/education of mechanical and electrical principles to troubleshoot malfunctions to equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the M&H Valve Safety Management Program.
  • Proactively promote The McWane Way principles.
  • Supervise efforts of hourly workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically driven industrial machinery.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, design, and install industrial control systems with 24-volt control and 480-volt power systems.
  • Install and setup AC variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, temperature controls and recalibration of instruments, sensors, chart records, I/P transmitters, and controllers.
  • Design, layout, and wire electrical panels.
  • Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine repair or installation procedures.
  • Determine methods to repair or adjust equipment, machines, controls or defective components in a foundry environment.
  • Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
  • Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects.
  • Direct work on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks or emergent work, such as breakdowns.
  • Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
  • Multitask and concentrate with multiple interruptions.
  • Exhibit courtesy and perform duties with tact and reasonable speed.
  • Consult with operations and maintenance management to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in a technical field or training in a vocational school preferred.
  • Five years of related on-the-job experience required.
  • Intermediate experience sufficient to troubleshoot, install, and setup PLC, HMI, and Servo systems abroad.
  • Experience in programming Allen Bradley 500 AB Processors with RS logic software, and 5000 AB control logics software and related control systems. Allen Bradley Panelview experience is a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
