Our MRI techs operate state-of-the-art equipment and advanced imaging systems, including EPIC, Radiant, and PACS, with a high degree of proficiency and attention to detail. They tailor every scan to the unique needs of each patient-adjusting protocols, analyzing exams for completeness, and documenting thoroughly to ensure the best possible outcomes. What you'll do

  • Performing MRI Exams: Operate state-of-the-art MRI scanners with skill and precision. Select protocols and adjust exposure factors based on patient anatomy, condition, and clinical needs to consistently produce high-quality images with minimal scan time.
  • Image Accuracy & Quality: Evaluate scans for completeness and diagnostic value. When necessary, gather additional images or patient information beyond standard protocols to support optimal radiologist interpretation.
  • Technology & Documentation: Proficiently use EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to access exam histories, input procedure requests, and document technical details. Prepare complete case documentation, including relevant symptoms, history, and technical parameters used.
  • MRI Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to MRI safety protocols, including proper screening procedures. Follow ALARA guidelines and all departmental safety and medication reconciliation policies.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Provide age-appropriate and holistic care, adjusting communication and technique to meet each patient's physical and emotional needs during the imaging process.
  • Team Collaboration & Flexibility: Communicate effectively with radiologists, care teams, and support staff. Assist with additional duties and contribute to a supportive and efficient work environment.
Required qualifications
  • Credentialed in radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI, OR the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (AMRIT) in MRI.
  • Licensed in radiography with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
