The HR Intern will provide valuable support to the Human Resources department, assisting with various tasks related to employee relations, recruitment, training, and HR administration. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about HR practices in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support
- participate in onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing materials
- Employee Records Management
- Assist in maintaining and updating employee records and databases
- Ensure that employee documentation is compliant with company policies and legal regulations
Training and Development
- Track and support the launch of a new training program including tracking training schedules and ensuring that teammates complete required training programs
- Help prepare training materials
- Maintain and update companies training database
Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for teammates regarding HR related questions and concerns
- Support HR initiatives aimed at improving teammate engagement and satisfaction
- Assist in organizing teammate recognition programs and events
Compliance and Policy Support
- Assist with ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws
- Help prepare and maintain HR related documentation and reports
HR Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative assistance, including preparing HR related reports and communications
- Assist with payroll processing (timekeeping, attendance tracking)
- Support the HR team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed
- Participate in leadership meetings regarding business initiatives
- Lead engagement activities for teammates
- Work directly with plant Human Resource Manager to learn and grow in your HR career!
Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Previous internship or experience in HR or a related field is a plus but not required
- Attention to detail - ensure all tasks are completed accurately and with a high level of precision
- Teamwork - ability to collaborate effectively with others across departments
- Initiative - demonstrate the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects
- Problem Solving - approach challenges with a proactive mindset and come up with creative solutions
- Adaptability - willingness to take on a variety of HR-related tasks and adapt to changing business needs
