This is an engineering role passionate about the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance of Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at our Perry, GA site. As a senior technician, you will aid and mentor lower-level employees and ensure our operations run flawlessly. This role requires working 7 am - 7 pm on a rotating roster (4 days on, 4 days off), with the possibility of overtime and occasional weekend work.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33 to $37.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role
- Repair and maintain AGVs, including calibrating sensors, adjusting/replacing components, lubricating parts, and fixing hydraulic systems.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to ensure equipment reliability.
- Apply electrical test equipment for troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuitry ranging from 5V to 480V.
- Build and close work orders in the asset management system, detailing labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Diagnose and solve AGV issues, determining the resources needed for effective resolution.
- Locate and manage spare parts inventory.
- Perform complex maintenance and testing to ensure equipment meets specifications.
- Provide training assistance to customers on operating equipment.
- Respond to service calls, resolving equipment failures and faults promptly.
- Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to address them.
What We Are Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required; an Associate's degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Niche skill training/certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated senior-level knowledge in a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience in the relevant field with a successful track record in the key tasks outlined.
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to maintain professional communication with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
- Experience leading projects, teams, and advising on day-to-day operations and tasks for the onsite maintenance team.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head regularly.
- Capability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Ability to work in diverse conditions like tight spaces, dust, odors, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, prolonged standing on concrete, and wet surfaces.
