General Summary of Position MedStar Health is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist OP/IP Float to join our team atMHPT at White Plains! The Speech-Language Pathologist provides speech-language pathology services, with services to include but not limited to screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three (3) IP or OP locations. The Speech-Language Pathologist participates as requested in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals. Primary Duties: * Conducts thorough evaluations by reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans, while clearly communicating findings and goals to patients and families. * Implements evidence-based treatment protocols, adjusting plans as needed based on patient progress and interdisciplinary consultations. * Accurately documents the full continuum of care-from evaluation to discharge-ensuring timely updates, appropriate billing, and clear tracking of patient outcomes. * Demonstrates professional time management, maintains accurate schedules, and ensures patient-centered care through flexibility, empathy, and punctuality. * Engages in continuous professional development, mentors students and new staff, and contributes to departmental goals, quality improvement, and community outreach efforts. Qualifications: * Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology (Required) or * Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology (Preferred) * Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY) * SP-L - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist- in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific locations (Required) * ASHA - American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (Preferred) * CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days (Required) Primary Duties and Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications This position has a hiring range of $1 - $3 |
