Overview
The USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum is looking to hire a Front Desk Clerk who will assist with admissions, memberships, and all things pertaining to the museum's gift shop. The current schedule available is: Sundays 1:00-5:15pm, Mondays 1:00-5:15pm, Fridays 1:00-7:15pm. Schedules could change each semester.

Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors and introduce them to the museum.
  • Ring up museum admissions, memberships, and gift shop purchases, etc.
  • Price merchandise and stock shelves.
  • Keep the gift shop areas and shelves neat and tidy.
  • Count cash drawer at the beginning and/or end of shift.
  • Open/close gift shop areas at the beginning/end of the day.
  • Become familiar with and follow policies and procedures.
  • Complete required trainings (online and in-person).
  • Help with tourism information, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Comfortable interacting with the public.
  • Committed to working assigned schedule.
  • Open to trading shifts or working for co-workers, as needed.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation to work.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Retail/Cash handling experience.
