This position is responsible for oversight and management of Business Development (BD) for the BGS Energy & Environment (E&E) Business Unit (BU). This position is accountable for all E&E BU business development and marketing activities, including establishing and maintaining an opportunity pipeline and roadmap, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, and development of marketing collateral. This position is responsible for the entire business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, supporting capture management, and technical solutions design, and other aspects of business development necessary to facilitate the growth and diversification of the business. The individual filling this position will have analytical and technical skills in marketing and development and management skills in supporting proposal teams to deliver high quality technical and cost proposals responsive to the specifications in federal Requests for Proposal (RFPs). The successful candidate will possess strong working relationships with other business leaders within the industry and bring the ability to propose teaming relationships favorable to BGS for capture of targeted procurements.
