Lubbock Lead Specialist 40895BR Student Business Services Position Description Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects and programs. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Works on special projects as assigned. May substitute for supervisor during his/her absence. Ensure accurate application of student benefits to accounts based on sponsor research, verified third party agreements, or required paperwork, in adherence with state, institutional, and departmental policies. 2. Manage sponsored student accounts, including determining contract charges, collecting deposits or payments, and arranging accurate invoices for each third-party sponsor in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. 3. Resolve account or billing inquiries and complaints by investigating issues, communicating with students and their representatives, and implementing appropriate resolutions. 4. Maintain accurate records of all sponsored student agreements, interactions, and transactions/payments, ensuring documentation includes inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken. 5. Coordinate regularly with sponsor representatives and other Texas Tech University departments to facilitate ongoing account management and ensure timely updates and communications. 6. Provide accurate and timely information regarding sponsored student accounts, using all available systems and tools, while adhering strictly to FERPA regulations. 7. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals and sponsored student services. Required Qualifications High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional customer service skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
