The Test Technician Lead will lead and mentor the test technicians and manage current programs. This individual will assist the Test Operations Manager and Test Supervisor, plan for appropriate, effective, and efficient Test resource and personnel allocation, monitor scheduling and deliverables progress. Act as Lead for all employees on 2nd shift, for the purpose of ensuring coordination of all efforts assigned by respective department heads; ensuring the safety and well-being of all company employees on that shift. Position Responsibilities: * Monitor and manage current programs and coordinate test efforts with Test Supervisor. * Act as point of contact for shift employees. Be effective in communicating the company wide goals and act as a liaison to the first shift supervisors and manager. * Assist the Test Supervisor with personnel and resource allocation. * Identify and mitigate issues affecting deliverables, investigate and assist staff with NCs/MRs and report to Test Supervisor. * Ensure test fixtures, software, and equipment are ready, calibrated, and operational for upcoming programs. * Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. * Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems. * Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. * Read blue prints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components. * Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working independently or with engineers. * Advanced ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options to implement a solution. * Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. * Assemble, test, and maintain test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions. * Maintain inventory of test equipment, related documentation, and location of equipment. * Maintain working knowledge of test equipment, tools or software by attending workshops or other training. * Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machines, environmental chambers, and electronic equipment is working properly. * Determine the type of tools and equipment needed to perform a job. * Acts as lead technician on complex projects. * Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational requirements. * Ability to troubleshoot failures to component level. * Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization. Skills and Abilities: * Advanced knowledge in RF, digital, and analog electronics. * Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing and processing, and troubleshooting circuit components. * Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards, and test equipment * Knowledge of incoming test requirements, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of the testing process. * Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Windows * Proficient with test software and platforms. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to details * Capable of multi-tasking and handling constant changes in priorities Qualifications * An associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or military training. * 10+ years of related work experience including testing and troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies. * Ability to motivate, lead, and engage workforce. * Ability to operate test systems, test equipment, and computer systems. * Advanced ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, drawings, and wire diagrams. * Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance, work in confined areas, and crouch or stand for extended periods of time while obtaining measurements * Ability to work additional hours as required Work Environment: * Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * 9/80 work schedule. * Office located in Lititz, PA |
