GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Execute the dispatch and tracking of all containers, chassis and generator sets to and from the Terminal. Provide support in the activities related to fruit product inventory and all documentation necessary for sales to correctly invoice customers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:



  • Communicate with truck drivers while updating the computer system to reflect the movement of equipment and/or product in or out of the terminal.





  • Communicate with the sales office, in order to execute changes with bills of lading (date, carrier, etc.) and on special assignments to receive specific loads.





  • Prepare and distribute various daily, weekly, and period reports related to the dispatch and tracking of all containers, chassis and generator sets to and from the Terminal, in order to comply with specific requirements.





  • Maintain EIR files in compliance with record retention laws, including sorting by type (fruit out, cargo out, cargo in, empties) and scanning any EIR that is showing damages to the M&R Superintendent.

Required Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Experience in administrative/clerical positions. Knowledge of trucking and/or shipping procedures preferred.



OTHER ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:



  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, including varied work hours.
