Finance FP&A Analyst

DaVita is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join the National Hospital Services team. As a Financial Analyst on our team, you will help determine and execute the strategic path for managing Hospital services business. You will be challenged to critically think through complex problems and help solve critical business issues that affect our daily operations & overall.

We are looking for someone who can build relationships with our cross-functional partners. On our team, we will ask you to use your analytical mindset to drive change in the areas where you find fulfillment. Your work will be visible to senior leadership, and you'll have opportunities to present your findings to executive leaders.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Analytics

  • Strong foundation in quantitative concepts (e.g. financial, statistical, forecasting, etc.)
  • Ability to simplify complex or ambiguous financial, business and operational problems through hypotheses-based analytical frameworks
  • Desire to challenge status quo, ask provocative questions, and develop recommendations
  • Knack for quickly internalizing how business processes work and the role that people play within the Village

Accountability

  • Deliver on-time and accurate recurring financial reporting that provide meaningful insights and drive strategic decision making by our senior executives
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, identifying and acting on most important business problems to solve
  • Drive actionable recommendations from synthesis of insights that push partners to differential results or new strategies
  • Appropriately manage potential roadblocks proactively identifying, communicating, and solving issues

Communication

  • Prioritize communications to focus on most critical information with a bias towards action
  • Contribute to effective communication including insights and progress towards results

Team

  • Contribute to a team environment of trust and learning with multi-directional feedback
  • Partner with Operations and Field Finance to drive results and maintain credibility
  • Direct exposure to the Hospital Services leadership team and other senior executives

Development

  • Aggressively pursue professional development opportunities available to DaVita Teammates
  • Ability to quickly take action on tactical feedback and develop over time

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, accounting, consulting, or a related financial role, with a preference for experience in healthcare or a related industry.
  • Ability to critically think through business and operational problems and leverage data to help drive solutions
  • Desire to innovate existing processes, develop recommendations, and implement solutions to help grow our business
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, identifying and acting on most important business problems to solve
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and quickly implement into your work
  • Intellectually curious, strong desire to learn, and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
  • Aggressively pursue professional development opportunities available to DaVita Teammates to help further your career
  • Willingness to learn and development technical skills with programs like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and our cloud reporting software Anaplan

Nice To Have

  • Experience with industry standard financial systems preferred (i.e., Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience executing core FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, long-term strategic planning and forecasting

Travel Required: Up to 5-10% nationally

Salary/ Wage Range

$56,500.00-$75,500.00 / year
