Engineer

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, Engineer will be a part of the dynamics and environmental testing lab. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE

Work closely with technicians and testing setups to ensure customer requirements are met. Be able to handle several programs while having a few tests active in the lab.
• Interact with the team from our technicians, project managers, schedulers, lab supervisors and department manager.
• Project managing and being proactive to prepare for incoming jobs by working with the customer and team.
• Organization skills are key.
• Basic Microsoft office
• Vibration research is a bonus

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
• Have the ability to work on well-defined issues, standard and/or routine tests, without significant guidance or supervision
• Takes Initiative and, in most cases, does not need to wait for further instruction
• Able to decide on and implement appropriate testing methods and protocols
• Leads and assigns the work of others when needed
• Analytical/technical knowledge provides a marked impact on overall laboratory technical capabilities and services
• Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor
• Under the close guidance of advanced Engineers in the laboratory, works on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis
• Defined work experience has impact on the day to day technical decisions made on timely delivery of laboratory testing services and customer support
• Recognized by colleagues within the lab as possessing strong technical knowledge.
• Has a clearly demonstrated ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions.
