Description

  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation and records.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and work orders.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to use MS Office software applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to identify problems, inform others and provide information to assist problem resolution.
  • Use verbal skills to communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Research each forging prior to shipping to verify that all process steps have been completed, including test and inspection steps, and that the results meet customer's requirements.
  • Prepare certification packages for product that is approved to ship, in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Ensure any deviation request approvals (submits, SDRs) are included in the certification package.
  • Once reviewed and found to be error-free, copy and email certification reports to our customers, as required when forgings are ready to ship, or upload certification packages to customer portals, when required.
  • Generate/type memos and enter data when required.
  • Handle customer requests for certification revisions or other changes.
  • File and maintain quality records.
  • Review vendor Material Test Reports to ensure material meets specification.


Working experience:

* Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred.
* An understanding of Material Test Reports and Aerospace/Metals industry materials and relevant test specifications preferred.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing job routings and processes.
* Familiar with external processes, such as external heat treat, machining, NDT, etc., is preferred.
* Working knowledge or familiarization with customer portal such as General Electric (GE) Aerospace, SpaceX, Pratt &Whitney, etc. is preferred but not required.
* Must be willing and able to work overtime as required to meet company and customer shipment goals.
