WebMD's Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM), a Jointly Accredited provider located in Newark, NJ, is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and self-motivated continuing healthcare education business development professional to join our team as a full time Director of Partnership Development.
Position Overview:
The Director of Partnership Development is responsible for establishing new education partners through business development efforts. In addition to expanding current revenue streams, one of this position's goals is to help diversify revenue streams by providing services to organizations that develop continuing education content with or without commercial support.
Job Responsibilities:

Drive business development efforts consistent with a culture that emphasizes relationship/partnership building -
Identify and target potential new partners, including medical education and communication companies, medical associations, foundations and societies, healthcare organizations, corporate enterprises, non-profits, and government-funded education partners to introduce PIM's accreditation services and value -
Conduct engaging and informative sales presentations to potential partners, both in-person and virtually; Explain the features and advantages of our accreditation services, tailoring presentations to meet the unique needs of each client -
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners by acting as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing support and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business -
Help clients understand the importance and impact of gaining accreditation for their content -
Collaborate with internal team members to generate new business opportunities with existing clients/customers and also ensure smooth transitions from sales to service delivery, ultimately helping to refine the overall client experience -
Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to closing; Ensure accurate documentation of leads, prospects, and deals in Salesforce -
Negotiate terms and pricing with clients, overcoming objections, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets -
Maintain Postgraduate Institute for Medicine's position as a respected and trusted collaborator in the continuing healthcare education community -
Remain current on ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, as well other applicable rules and regulations (ACCME, ANCC, FDA, etc.). Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge -
Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, including performance metrics, sales forecasts, and account activity to the General Manager -
Meet or exceed revenue goals as defined annually -

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required -
3-5 years minimum in healthcare communication business development; 2 years in CME specialty -
Respected member of the continuing healthcare education community with considerable industry contacts -
Knowledge and experience in developing continuing education activities for healthcare professionals -
Prefer candidate who is well versed in the complex regulatory issues and operational guidelines of commercially supported continuing education for medical professionals, including ACCME, ACPE, and ANCC accreditation criteria; CHCP preferred -
Excellent written and oral communication and competency interacting on all levels with healthcare professionals, staff, and clients -
Possess a background in the healthcare field -
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs -
Team oriented -
Some travel required
Compensation:
- $123,000 - $133,000 + Commission
