Senior SmartCOMM Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SmartCOMM Data Modeler and SmartCOMM. This role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required. The Lead Developer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our software solutions ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of software solutions using SmartCOMM Data Modeler and SmartCOMM.
• Oversee the design and architecture of complex software systems to ensure scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software design architecture and implementation processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Ensure the security and integrity of software solutions by implementing best practices in security and data protection.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of software solutions.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress risks and issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience with SmartCOMM Data Modeler and SmartCOMM.
• Should have a strong understanding of software design and architecture principles.
• Must possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Should have experience with agile development methodologies.
• Must have strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Should be able to mentor and guide junior developers.

Certifications Required

Certified SmartCOMM Developer Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 25, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $112,500 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
