Job Description:

Job Summary
  • The Sr CoBrand Portfolio Program Manager is responsible for portfolio growth and management, through product optimizing the economics of the CoBrand portfolio and leading related analytics for Southwest Airlines' portfolio of credit cards, inclusive of acquisitions of new Credit Cardmembers. This role will initiate and perform analytics and research projects, will partner with the issuing bank and payment network, and provide databased insights and recommendations to maximize portfolio profitability. Working with the Acquisition and Portfolio Teams, this position will provide forecasting, performance analytics, program and industry trending, website/ecommerce optimization, KPI dashboards, and several macroeconomic indicators, all with strong storytelling and influence to generate portfolio growth. This role will frequently provide financial reporting to senior leadership and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze the performance of the co-branded credit card portfolio and co-branded acquisitions, identifying key drivers and trends.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze large datasets to provide insights into cardholder behavior and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with Financial Services Partners and internal teams
  • Analyze competitive landscape and leverage industry knowledge, business process, customer insights, and/or future needs to identify new opportunities or key challenges, diagnose root causes, and recommend performance drivers in order to create new revenue streams
  • Develop strategies for customer marketing, to monitor, enhance and report KPIs that are unique to a financial services program health such as customer spend, Spend/Cardmember, save rates, month on book lifecycle, attrition, NPS, debit active rate, etc. As well as customer acquisitions to monitor and optimize application rates and conversion (approval rates) by responder profile, audience type (mass vs targeted) and offers to ensure portfolio growth via strong acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain business cases and financial models to forecast portfolio performance, acquisitions, and assess the impact of various scenarios, supporting trade off discussions when necessary. Lead annual operating plan, budgeting and forecasts
  • May perform job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of credit card portfolio, consumer financial services, banking, payments industry, as well as financial or credit card product development
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and extract actionable insights
  • Skilled with data analysis tools and developing business cases
  • Skilled in complex and/or technical problem solving, mathematics, and analytics to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations & Ability to communicate effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly
  • Frequently contribute slide presentations that will present complex data or findings with high level, easily understood summary points and story lines for executive and partner presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to gain commitment to shared goals with peers, team, external partner and internal departments
  • Ability to demonstrate high emotional intelligence in various situations dealing with both internal and external resources

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
    • Financial analytics experience working directly in / for Financial Services or products
    • Product management
    • Marketing or product reporting, report building, and analytics, inclusive of Tableau and Adobe
    • Macroeconomic indicators and trending
Licensing/Certification

  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $128,350.00 - $142,600.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
