About the Role: As a Product Owner,

will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, business, sales, and customer support, to ensure that the product meets the needs of our customers and aligns with the company's goals. Knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders and team members. Ensure alignment with the utility company's overall objectives.
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and timelines. Prioritize initiatives based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed product requirements. Translate business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the priorities and requirements.
  • Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning meetings to ensure that the team understands the goals and scope of each sprint. Provide guidance and clarification as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on product progress, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand customer needs, utility industry best trends, and competitive landscape. Use this information to inform product decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance using key metrics and analytics. Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance the product.
  • User Experience: Advocate for a user-centric approach to product development. Ensure that the product delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Release Management: Coordinate product releases, including planning, communication, and post-release evaluation. Ensure that releases are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps..).
    • Knowledge of utility industry operations and data analysis.

Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification is a plus.

Compensation: - $90,000 to $140,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 05/29/2025
