Nokia of America Corporation, System Verification Tester (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ.



  • Perform functional, scalability, stress and system functional testing of the desired/designated new feature development in the optical networking domain.
  • Design and develop test cases and manual test execution for all IPV4/IPV6 protocols and ITU-T standard protocols.
  • Develop and test suits to support software release cycle.
  • Automation of Test suits/Test Cases using Python Language and regression tests using batch process tools to uncover issues in the software.
  • Interact with software design and system engineering team throughout the software release cycle to achieve the quality of the features supported by the product.
  • Perform functional, scalability, stress and system functional testing of the desired/designated new feature development in the optical networking domain.
  • Identify and support debugging the software bugs and fixing them and retest them until the required quality is achieved.
  • Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output. Responsible for contribution to teamwork.
  • Carries out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing business environments. #LI-DNI


Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Murray Hill, NJ may be permitted up to 40%.

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Skills required:



  • Data networking protocols and technologies, including Layer 2 ethernet switching and Layer 3 protocols on metro ethernet switches and core routers;
  • Testing the quality and validation of functionality of Routers, Carrier Ethernet switches, IP DSLAM, IP and TDM networks, or Optical networking systems;
  • Automation tools/Automation framework development using Python, Perl and Shell; Spirent, IXIA, IXnetworks, and JDSU; Optical transmission systems, including WDM, SONET, and OTN.


Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
