Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions WWAN Engineering organization is looking for an exceptional and accomplished technical leader to help us build the next generation of wireless WAN infrastructure. You will report directly to the VP of HW Engineering to investigate and propose new architectures, platforms, and services that will enable our future growth and continued cellular technology leadership. You will partner with other technical leaders, managers, and teams across the organization to gain technical and developmental alignment on your proposals, build out proofs-of-concepts, and co-develop new and novel approaches that deliver world-leading and best-in-class WWAN, WLAN, and LAN solutions.
What you will do:
- Researches, socializes and proposes cross-functional hardware and firmware platform architectures that are aligned with company strategy to drive differentiation and customer value in our current solutions, and to enable unit growth and expansion into new markets
- Forms and leads a team of hardware and firmware technical leaders to develop and deliver both hardware and firmware solutions that will accelerate the drive to an all-wireless enterprise
- Advises Ericsson senior engineering management on new and emerging technologies, methods, and tools related to Ericsson's current and future target markets
- Partners with cross-functional engineering leaders in SaaS, SDWAN, and Security to deliver differentiated and competitive end-to-end solutions to our customers
The skills you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; Master's Degree or PhD preferred
- 10+ years of experience in a senior technical role in the networking industry that includes a developer or architect role in the following areas:
- Wireless technologies, particularly cellular and Wi-Fi
- Enterprise-class networking, especially in the area of L3/L4 technology
- X86/ARM-based architectures
- Linux-based architectures for networking platforms
- AI and ML at the network edge
- Development, launch, and support of computing and networking platforms, hardware/firmware architectures, wired and wireless network infrastructure
- Demonstrated technical leadership within the computing and networking industry

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
- CALIFORNIA: $229,200 - 300,825

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
