Supports area leadership by facilitating communication between support services and operations, assisting with operations planning, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory and cost management. Ensures area operational processes and policies are integrated, consistently implemented, and adhered to.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the ROM to develop and standardize administrative practices and procedures.

In partnership with area leadership, implements initiatives that support area operational excellence. This includes identifying opportunities to reduce administrative operations costs and coordinating with credit and/or accounting related functions.

Supports Safety and Compliance by reviewing asset protection procedures, monitoring equipment use, and enforcing compliance with safety documentation procedures.

Facilitates consistent and timely corporate and/or area specific communications.

Assists the Area Product Planner with the procurement of indirect products and materials to ensure there is adequate stock to meet market needs.

In partnership with the Area Product Planner, collects information required for special orders in order to meet production and / or customer needs.

Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field;

Minimum of 8 years of directly related industry experience;

Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPETENCIES

Extensive knowledge of the building products industry * Ability to use a logical and systematic approach to accurately analyze data, problems and situations * Demonstrates solid business and financial acumen * Customer focused * Computer proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) required WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
