Job Description

Summary:

The Service Traffic/Shipping Coordinator will perform production control inventory activities to include the monitoring of physical preparation, staging, and logistical movements of materials globally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and provide logistics documentation for timely and accurate export shipping.

  • Supports the service network shipping of requested parts.

  • Enters and processes shipments in various software platforms.

  • Pick and pack Field Repair Units for outbound shipments as needed.

  • Pack service spare parts for distribution as needed.

  • Communicate and coordinate with various Regions, Logistics Coordinators and Transportation companies.

  • Handle routine questions, problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle.

  • Log order information into shared databases, files and distributes paperwork, as necessary.

  • Maintain shipment records and generates reports for finance and other related departments.

  • Follow EHS compliance and quality systems requirements.

  • Provide support for offsite inventory storage, movement, replenishment including deliveries between warehouses as needed.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 5-8 years' experience in logistics with shipping, receiving, stockroom control, shipping documents and computerized inventory system.

  • Understanding of international shipment preparation.

  • Experience with safety, health, and quality systems (OSHA, FDA, and ISO).

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve issues with own and other departments.

  • Must be organized and have strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work a physically active position requiring frequent climbing of ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling during course of duties.

b. Preferred or Desired

  • Forklift or pallet jack operation training/certificate.
