Senior Business Analyst- Cost Controls/ Senior Project Controls Specialist Close Date: 5/08/2025 Job #1368 DUTIES Responsible for organizing, developing, analyzing, and maintaining financial analysis applications required to monitor established objectives, and to prepare status and management reports that identify variances in the work execution strategy and recommend solutions. Provide management with the capability of maintaining cost and schedule control throughout the life cycle of a complex project or work activity. Under general supervision, performs moderately complex financial analysis activities to include: Performs financial procedures, prepares financial reports / plans on a periodic or ad hoc basis Understands the business environment and operations of the area being supported -Serves as a financial liaison to actively communicate with operational programs - Performs and applies financial planning and analysis techniques including but not limited to: variance analysis, scenario analysis, financial and cash flow modeling, etc., as requested. Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30 minute lunch. Work hours in excess of forty hours a week may be required, as authorized by SRNS management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education & Experience/Skills: A Master's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and 2 years of practical experience. Bachelor's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and 5 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent. An Associate's degree and 8 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent. A high school diploma and 12 years of relevant experience would also be considered equivalent. Possesses strong personal computer skills. Requires considerable proficiency in the use of automated accounting, and budgeting systems as tools for performing required duties. Experience / Skills Candidate must demonstrate proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, spend out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, and funding. Candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements; Candidate must be able to demonstrate advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software (Cobra preferred). Candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to use advanced functions and features of the Microsoft Office software suite. Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field when required. OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Area Security Access: A security clearance is not required to complete assigned duties. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle's OBIEE is desirable.
