Job Description: Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II (FTC) A220 - 2nd shift to join our Final Assembly Line based in Mobile, AL. Responsible for working inside a multi-function team to answer technical questions regarding final assembly and functional testing of the A220 aircraft. This position will also be responsible to validate workbook and functional testing procedure modification, lead troubleshoot meetings, assist with tooling, part configuration validation, training of others, nonconformity research and ensure a complete plan is established for outstanding actions pertaining to the methods department. Provide technical support to production. Lead troubleshooting meetings. Functional Testing Procedure knowledge. Help with training of Manufacturing Engineers I. Establish LDD's for RNC's with Operation Leader agreement. Investigate workbook modification and submit changes to Change Managers. Creation of rework orders. Handling of non conformities within the assigned area. Ensuring proper support with MES (Issues/Snags). Establish/verify the technical content of BOI's, Workbooks, and RNC and give feedback to responsible actors. Exchange information regularly with MFT to ensure a one team concept. Analyze current status and create reports. Manage continuous improvement measures with recurring routines. Perform other duties as assigned. Liaising with Airbus Canada counterparts.
Projects: 10%
Support projects as outlined by management. Perform independent research and participate in the development of solutions to solve complex problems. Support PPS actions outlined by MFT (Multi-Function Team). Ensure completion of project roadmaps. Perform other duties as assigned.
Training: 5%
Ensure Poly-Poly end of year requirements are met. Ensure all training outlined by HR and Management are completed in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for evaluating multiple options and making recommendations to management based on the most appropriate processes and methods. May serve as project lead on various assignments or initiatives.
Your boarding pass:
A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology or equivalent years of experience is required. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace, preferably in an Aerospace Final Assembly Line. **Internal employees must have 2 years inside A220 Manufacturing Engineering Department and successfully completed all poly/poly skills at a level 3 requirement. Airframe and Powerplant Certification preferred. Knowledge of aerospace processes and methods. Knowledge of common aerospace Tools (SAP, Catia, Enovia). Familiarity with the American aviation market. Knowledge about aircraft structures, systems, electrical, and/or cabin installations. Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing. Intercultural experience. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Travel abroad for work and training is possible. Involved communication on a frequent basis with internal and external parties.
Physical Requirements:
Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to observe manufacturing operations including equipment as well as individual tasks. Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings and on the production floor and flight line. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment as well as production-related tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and power drills, etc. Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 50lbs/22kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. Lifting: Able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs/22kg. Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items on production and in office areas. Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer, in meetings and observing production processes. Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time, often on concrete floors observing production operations or delivering information. Travel: Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time, at short notice. Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, around flightline and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
