Quality Improvement Specialist (Full Time)

Position Summary:

Assist in the quality control of client data and documentation built into electronic health records in accordance with licensing and accreditation standards, and support processes to ensure proper data management and reporting, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:


  • Monitors standardize documentation and processes as assigned including but not limited to completion of assessments, recovery plans, transfers and discharge summaries.
  • Coordinate and tracking of data to help inform program evaluation and reporting.
  • Assist with compiling data for trend analysis and reporting to inform CQI activities.
  • Support continuous quality improvement monitoring by reviewing data, identifying corrective action, providing data entry, and generating reports.
  • Participate in accreditation initiatives and assist with completion of activities.
  • Assist QI team in preparation for audits by regulatory agencies and review organizations.
  • Actively participate in regular, reflective, and collaborative supervision. Be prepared with questions, concerns, and other related material prior to beginning each supervisory session. Share pertinent information with supervisor and team members regarding work progress, success, barriers, concerns and other areas that may have an impact on the Program or Agency.
  • Demonstrate continued sensitivity to and respect for differences in language, culture, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexuality and individuality pertaining to clientele and colleagues.

Skills and Training Required:


  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required with minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare quality role.
  • Experience with quality improvement principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adapt and quickly learn electronic programs utilized across the agency.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively to solve problems
  • Ability to participate as a member of a team.
