Part-Time, Teaching-Track Faculty Position in Anthropology/Global Studies - Capital Campus
Apply Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Faculty Washington D.C., District of Columbia The Department of Anthropology in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California, seeks qualified applicants for part-time, one-semester, in-person positions as Instructor or Lecturer to join our faculty at the Washington, DC, Capital Campus in Fall 2025. The Anthropology faculty member will teach first semester undergraduate students enrolled in an anthropology class, Introduction to Global Studies and Cross-cultural Research (Units: 4). This course examines effects of globalization on social life in diverse communities, approaching related issues from an ethnographic perspective. It serves as the gateway course for the Global Studies Major and also fulfills USC General Education requirements in General Education in Category C: Social Analysis. Faculty teach one to three sections, for which they will develop syllabi and assignments in accordance with program guidelines. The class meets two days per week in two, two-hour blocks at the Capital Campus at 1771 N St NW in Washington, DC. The faculty member is encouraged to take students on two - three site visits and/or host distinguished speakers. The successful candidate should expect to work closely with USC Dornsife faculty in planning and delivering the course.
