Overview

Northwood Technical College is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a full-time Grants and Resource Development Manger at any of our four campus locations. (Ashland, New Richmond, Rice Lake or Superior)

The Grants and Resource Development Manager provides leadership for the College's grant development efforts including planning, development, implementation and compliance of all projects districtwide to support Northwood Tech's priorities, programs, and initiatives. The Director collaborates with all functional areas of the college.

  • Research, analyze, recommend, and develop sources of funding along with coordinated financing/match strategies for program, projects, services, and equipment to support the college's strategic priorities and mission.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret pending legislation and new federal/state initiatives related to external funding opportunities and communicate with college leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with functional area leaders, deans, supervisors, faculty and staff who are involved in planning and implementing initiatives supported through grant funding
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to develop grant projects, including other WTCS colleges as needed on grant-funded consortium projects.
  • Identify new sources of grant funding by proactively seeking out new funding
  • Lead the monitoring, compilation, and assignment of grant writing within the grants/resource development team to ensure projects are completed within internal and external deadlines, meeting requirements
  • Lead and facilitate the Perkins Team and all Perkins grant funding collegewide.
  • Lead, manage, and coordinate implementation for all grant awards collegewide including project management, monitoring of progress, and budget expenditures.
  • Facilitate implementation plans for funded projects in collaboration with designated grant project managers.
  • Monitor adherence to implementation plans through regular check-ins to inform, compose, and submit grant-required reporting and compliance regulations.
  • Maintain metrics and key performance indicators including grant revenue, total dollars received for new grants, total number of new grants applied for and received and communicate to college leadership.
  • Collect and analyze data, maintain metrics, and key performance indicators for all grants collegewide.
  • Represent the college at WTCS statewide meetings.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate assigned staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Degree & Experience Required:

  • Master's degree in related field
  • Three years related work experience
  • One year Supervisory/Leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining accountability and motivation in self and others
  • Strong customer service skills that focus on diversity, community, and continuous quality improvement
  • Problem-solving skills that employ critical thinking
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
  • Experience leading projects through time management and effective delegation
  • Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy

FY25 Salary - Grade O - $87,223 / year
