Job Description:

Provides care of patients as Anesthesia Technician. Primarily keeps the anesthesia service and operating room organized & supplies maintained. Supports the anesthesia process by ordering supplies and equipment for inpatient surgeries.

Job Duties:

• Assess patient specific needs preoperatively i.e. resistant organisms, latex allergy, age specific and communicates with the surgical services team members regarding relevant patient and procedure data.
• Organize, maintain and assist with set-up of invasive monitoring equipment and transducers.
• Communicates with Sterile Processing Dept. (SPD) regarding necessary changes, supplies, instrument needs.
• Checks anesthesia cart and locks cart when unattended and resolves mechanical problems on all anesthesia equipment.
• Participates in efficient room turnover, ensuring the anesthesia equipment is clean and reset for next case.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• One year of experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Inventory management preferred
