These positions are part-time and will support the teaching mission of the Information and Decision Sciences Department. Courses taught could include the following at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: IT/IS in organizations, Financial Information Systems and Technologies, Business Process Excellence, Enterprise Systems, etc. Courses are offered during the day as well as evenings and Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities include course materials preparation (i.e. syllabus, handouts, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, etc.); textbook selection, course delivery, evaluation of students, record keeping, management/supervision of teaching assistants, office hours, etc. Qualifications

About the Department
The University of Minnesota is well known as one of the founding schools for the MIS discipline and is home to the Management Information Systems Research Center (MISRC) and the MIS Quarterly. The Department has 17 tenured/tenure-track faculty and 6 full-time instructional faculty. The Department teaches courses both at undergraduate and graduate levels as well as performs research in all areas of the information systems discipline including Information Technology (IT) / Information Systems (IS) in organizations, Economics of IS, Design and Management of Systems, Individual and Organizational Decision Support, Knowledge Management, Social Media, and Business Analytics. The department is also home to the M.S. in Business Analytics (MSBA) program. There is an active doctoral program in information systems with 13 students in residence. Carlson School faculty are among the world's most prolific; the latest AIS Research Rankings puts the U of M's IS faculty 3rd in the world in intellectual contributions. The IS MBA and Undergraduate programs are ranked 6th by U.S. News and World Report. The Master's in Business Analytics ranks 7th in the U.S.,QS World University Ranking. Pay Range: This position is paid at $3,200 per credit, with the total payment dependent on the number of credits assigned to the instructor. Course assignments will be made based on education, qualifications, and experience.
